-an introductory cassette "Getting started" ; listen to side A of this cassette first, it will introduce you to your whole course, and give you valuable  tips on how to make the most efficient use of the time you spend studying. Side B is blank for you to practise.

-4 recorded  language cassettes; these cassettes contain all the recorded material for the lessons of your course. Each cassette covers one level of language and ends with a self-checking  test. Cassette 1, Side A begins with a section on Thai sounds which gives you a pronunciation guide. All the cassettes are entirely in Thai and recorded by native Thai speakers, so you can be sure you are hearing Thai as it is really spoken.

-a blank practice cassette; it is always useful to record yourself and compare your efforts with the original. This cassette is for you  to practise speaking and recording.

- 3 course books; 1)an illustrated textbook contains the printed version of texts and exercises of all the lessons and tests on your cassettes. It gives you these in the Thai script and in a transliterated vesion. Use this book to follow the texts and recorded activities. It also contains written exercises, and at the end of the book there is a complete set of answers to all the activities; 2 )a handbook is your tutor; it gives you instructions on how to tackle each activity and guides you carefully through the course. It gives the meaning in English of all the words and phrases you will be hearing and reading and it explains how the Thai language actually works. Make sure you keep it handy and refer to it often; 3) an alphabet introduces you to reading and writing the Thai script, tells you how to tackle it in your Textbook and how to use a Thai dictionary.
